Experimental Vessels
Parameters such as diameter, height and materiality describe a vessel and its use. Marble conceptually deals with the design of a vessel shape, its variability and its versatility. The vessels were built by setting an interface between digital and analog techniques and the combination of different firmness types of the material porcelain. Within this process a digitally generated negative mold interacts with the manual build-up of the bead technique to create the intended vessel. By experimenting with the change of the parameter height, a three-part tableware series consisting of a vase, cup, and bowl has been formed which marked the goal of the process.
