The modular tableware combines aspects of serving and storing food. The concept is an examination of the current problematic food culture and its resulting food waste, which takes place predominantly in private households.
Taking up the method of meal-prepping, the variable use of the tableware is intended to contribute to a more appreciative and conscious table culture. Five elements with different filling volumes enable individual combination possibilities of the dishes, as every piece can also be used as a lid for the other. In this way, the dishes can be turned into storage containers and be individually adapted to different contents. Whole meals can be pre-portioned accordingly to the size of the dish or single foods prepared and stored for cooking during the week and therefore speed up the cooking process. The dishes save space in the cupboard, as Tupperware becomes superfluous. Another aspect of using the dishes is the possibility of building table figures when stacking the containers onto each other. In this way, meals are presented and celebrated in a new way at the table, which is intended to bring more appreciation to the meal.
